The museum where you are in the painting

The museum where you are in the painting

Forli – atttractions for a day
Florence – attractions for a weekend
Amalfi – Italy’s most exquisite balcony

It is usually unthinkable for visitors to touch the displayed exhibits in museums, which is why there is always this unpleasant border between people and exhibits, a border between art and humans.

With the development of technologies, however, people s imagination gains more and more power and this turns paradigms around. An excellent example of this is Art in Island 3D Art Museum in Quezon, north of Manila (The Philippines).Visitors of the museum in Quezon are even encouraged to climb the paintings, to pose, make faces, take many photos.

As the local population of this country-island in the Pacific loves taking selfies and sharing them in social media, the team of the museum has come up with a creative way to make this activity fun, while making visitors part of the displayed art.

To turn this idea into reality, 18 Korean master painters were invited to paint 50 clever murals. They were painted so well that they create the impression of depth, if viewed from a particular angle, as well as wide opportunities for the visitors to unleash their imagination and be creative.

Visitors of the museum in Quezon are even encouraged to climb the paintings, to pose, make faces, take many photos. Because the idea is that the pieces of art are unfinished, if the people do not take part in them.
