Flight Restaurant and Wine Bar

Type of cuisine: soups and sandwiches in a fancy atmosphere. 

Affordability: expensive for what the cuisine is, but delicious according to patrons!

The beautiful and fancy atmosphere in this restaurant may catch you off guard if you don’t know what to expect!  The Flight Restaurant and Wine Bar is a fantastic place to slip away for some transcendent soups and sandwiches.  This restaurant’s price is a surprise if you don’t know what to expect, but each of the artisan sandwiches and delicious soups makes a space for itself in everyone’s mind.  You’ll leave with a little sticker shock, but over time will start craving it again and will come back for another delicious meal.  The food is worth it; it just takes time to get used to paying so much for something many people see as low-value food.

McEwan’s

Type of cuisine: upscale southern classics.

Affordability: moderately expensive.

Ratings: 4.6 stars out of 5 stars.

Location: north of downtown.

If you love southern dishes and aren’t afraid to try something new and interesting, there’s a lot you can try at McEwan’s.  Taking a modern approach to classics and well-known dishes is a fantastic way to give you a new view of the dishes you could find in almost any restaurant in the area.  Take a break from looking at Memphis houses for sale and get to know a cultural icon in the room with McEwan’s.  The fresh takes are less expensive than other restaurants on this list, so if you have a day you can’t figure out meals for, this is the place to go!

Erling Jensen the Restaurant

French food in the south isn’t that rare, but you’ll never find another restaurant like Erling Jensen the Restaurant!  Every dish is artfully put together, with the flavors mingling fantastically.  This is the top-rated eatery on this list because those who visit the restaurant quickly return for more.  Although it’s expensive, the atmosphere, the delicious food, and the incredible waitstaff are there to make it all worth it.  If you’re still not sure, give them a try and let them change your mind.  Every bite is better than the last, and you’ll enjoy every moment in this restaurant.

There’s no wrong choice when it comes to eating in Memphis.  Every restaurant is surprising and incredible; you’ll never run out of new flavors to try and new dishes to enjoy.  Regardless of your budget or tastes, this is the city to eat in.
