The world is a big place. There’s a lot to explore but little time to do it all. Some very well-known parts of the Earth are home to many exotic places and outwardly vacation spots. We’re referring to the Caribbean. If you are planning to travel there please check the best places to stay. To be more specific, we’re talking about the jaw-dropping wonders of these famous islands’ harbors. For many, the joys of exploring uncharted territory can be enough to recharge their batteries. If this describes you, read ahead to plan your next adventure there.

The Pitons, St. Lucia.

A pair of two large dormant volcanoes home to some of the finest cliffs, cascading waters, and adrenaline-fueled hiking activities are sure to leave you begging to stay and explore the area.

Marked as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the pitons are divided into the Gros Piton and the Petit Piton, both very dear places to climbers worldwide. The Gros Piton offers more of a straightforward climbing path, while the Petit Piton is more challenging because of its narrow edges and steep curves.

If climbing is not your cup of tea, there’s a lot to do around the coral reefs, hot springs, and many tropical forests.

El Yunque Rain Forest, Puerto Rico

The rainforest of all rainforests. El Yunque is both a maze and a construct of nature’s finest intersection of trees, animals, rainfall, and parks.

Specifically, there’s the Puerto Rico park, which is home to highly diverse wildlife and a natural habitat for thousands of native plants.

El Yunque is best explored during summertime when there’s less hustle and bustle and more time to enjoy the natural scenery.

As far as activities go, you can get lost in the forest and hope you make it out unscathed, you can go fishing and enjoy the seafood, or you can go on camping trips with the locals who are going to be more than happy to share everything they know about the forest.

Belize Barrier Reef, Belize

With a big swirling hole of deep water the size of a mega donut, the Belize Barrier Reef is your best stop if you want to explore scuba diving options.

The Great Blue Hole, which we compared to a donut, is the specific spot where you want to go to do your water activities.

However, this hole is not for the faint of heart, as its depth measures at least 400 feet into the bottom of the sea.

If you’re still bold enough to try it, make sure you do your scuba diving activities during summertime to avoid the violent hurricanes that occur later in the year.

Dunn’s River Falls, Jamaica

Ever wondered how fast and powerful downward stream currents go? Well, you’ll find out if you visit Dunn’s River Falls.

People literally buy cruises from around the world and bet on who can climb the waterfall the fastest. Yes, it’s physically possible to do so, and it’s awe-inspiring.

It takes the best people around 90 minutes to ascend this beautiful landmark, and the experience is full of fast falls and broken pieces of machinery.

If you don’t like having your life ended by drowning, you can go inland, drink some frozen cocktails, and enjoy the shallow depth of the beaches.

The Pekelmeer Salt Flats, Bonaire

Pekelmeer in Dutch means “Salt Lake,” and it is just that. The lake is built on top of big mountains with a lot of salt.

The lake itself is composed of massive pools where flamingos dance on one leg, and the sunshine hits harder than anywhere else.

As flamingos exist in only four areas on the planet, this is your best chance to see these pink creatures adding their charm to Bonaire and the salt lake.

Lastly, the salt tastes just like the table salt you would use at home, so if you want to save a few bucks, consider taking some of it on your trip back home.

Sulfur Springs Park, St. Lucia

From the name, you can tell that this place is full of sulfur, but what does that have to do with it being a wonder worthy of visiting? There’s one answer to that; it’s hot steam and sulfuric springs.

These attractions were built out of the history of the tectonic activities that occurred thousands of years ago, and they make for excellent R&R locations.

You can get a hot bath and bask in the sun while staring at the volcano that used to erupt every couple of centuries.

If you’re a geology fan, this place will suit your fancy. The grounds are full of minerals, and the mines tell a story of their own if you decide on exploring them.

The Carambola Gardens, Honduras

The last attraction we will discuss is the surreal collection of acres of tropical flowers and botanical gardens known as the Carambola Gardens.

Fruit trees decorate the jungles of Honduras, and luscious beauty is everywhere to be found.

Iguana Wall stands tall at the top of the mountain in this area. It is the most visually stunning cliff in the whole world, home to several species of iguanas and parrots.

Beauty becomes addictive when you enter Carambola Gardens.

Honduras is also a fantastic location to have your destination wedding here. The combination of natural beauty, coupled with the bioluminescent beaches available, can make for an unforgettable night. In addition, there’s a wide selection of resorts that offer many entertainment outlets such as spa visits, sunbathing, and disco clubs. Destination weddings can be intimidating to plan. Some wedding planners specialize in it like ParadiseWeddings.com can really help you.

You really can’t go wrong if you come to this Caribbean attraction.
